2012 SIGMA PLAYER OF THE GAME
SIGMA has been a leader in heart rate technology since 1982 when the first bicycle speedometer was introduced. The benefits of heart rate based training can provide the extra edge that competitive athletes demand. With that goal in mind, SIGMA USA is proud to sponsor the Myrtle Beach Mutiny Futball Club (MBFC) and the 2012 Player of the Game.
SIGMA USA will provide an RC 14.11 running computer to the Player of the Game that is chosen for each home game throughout the soccer season. And in the true spirit of southern hospitality SIGMA and MBFC will also provide an RC 14.11 to the away team’s Man of the Match. The RC 14.11 is a running computer that provides extensive heart rate data as well as crucial running statistics. MBFC President Tim Hogner states “Not only are these quality products from a great company, but we expect the heart rate monitors will help the guys push themselves during individual and team workouts. We’re excited to partner with Sigma Sport and are very glad that they share our vision of community and hospitality by providing the away team with a heart rate monitor too.”
Heart rate based training is a great way to gauge intensity ensuring that athletes are effectively training to maximize results. The RC 14.11 will be an integral tool for the players to use throughout workouts. Hogner concludes, “For now our players are motivated and this (Player of the Game award) will only help them and I believe we have the best company behind us!”
